The life and times of Shivaji are interesting indeed, which have been vividly recreated at a place called Shiv Shrushti near Akluj. A dilapidated fort built during the Yadav regime, which was largely neglected, was restored in the year 1975 at the behest of Jaysinh Mohite-Patil, then sarpanch of Akluj. And thanks to his initiative, the old fort is today home to Shiv Shruti. And also thanks to Mr. Vijaysinh Mohite-Patil, who is the Cabinet Minister for Rural Development or Tourism for his great help to create a Shiv Srushti. Incumbent sarpanch see Mr. Sangramsinh Mohite-Patil, looks after the today management of Shiv Srushti. At Shiv Shrushti, one gets a peek into the golden era of Shivaji through a series of wonderful sculptures, statues and murals
